Many people would be out of work. The farmer that grows the tobacco, the factory worker where the cigarettes are made, the truck drivers that deliver the finished products, The people that manufacture the automated machinery for making cigarettes. Then it trickles on down to the local stores, restaurants, and businesses in the towns where the tobacco factory's are located. many people would be affected, the loss in salary's and the tax base would be hundreds of millions of dollars.
