Cigarettes Smoking Effects
How will cigarette smoke from my neighbors affect my plants?
I live in an apartment and am thinking of putting some tomato plants (or other plants) in pots on my porch. My downstairs neighbors smoke heavily on their porch, directly below mine...if I go out on my porch, I am just breathing it in. Will tomatoes, or other plants be effected by the cigarette smoke? Will it make them less safe to eat? Are there certain plants that are less effected?

plants filter out the smoke by a series of chemical properties, like they turn carbon monoxide into oxygen. The smoke will actually turn the leaves greener and wont do any harm if none at all to the plants .except second hand smoke which can harm your lungs
Cleansing the body of cigarette smoking requires drinking plenty of water to flush the system, increasing the intake of anti-oxidant-rich foods ...
