Job Cigarette Roller


What was Fashion,Dance,Manners and Morals of the 1920's?
I have a simple U.S History project where I have to identify and define events in the 1920's such as the Red Scare, Teapot Dome Scandal and so on but I needed some help with



the Fashion Dance Manners and Moral of the 1920's couldn't

dig much up on it.

, men's wide lapels , bow ties, lace up oxfords, saddle shoes, penny loafers, high top sneakers, golf caps ,argyle socks/sweaters,straw hats, racoon coats, beanies, silk top hats, tuxedos w. tails, striped sports coats, school sweaters, round lense eyeglasses, pocket watches w. fobs, trousers w. cuffs, button flys, vests/ cummerbunds, starched bibs, spats. garters and suspenders... women: knee length skirts, open toed shoes, lace up shoes, oxford style sneakers, penney loafers saddle shoes , scarves, assrtd' hats w/wo netting, fitted blouses (front or back button,) dresses, shoe sandals, ruffles scalloped trim, fur trim, feather boas, ostridge or peacock feather accents,pearl neclaces, photo heart necklaces, charm bracelets, slacks,v neck-crew neck,+ cardigan sweaters, knee length over coats, lace trim/scarves,thigh length silk hose w. garterbelts, girdles, shawls... dance bands, records,victrolas w. cranks early tube radios (am only) radio orchestras, contests etc.(all live), record stores with booths to listen, vaudeville/burlesque, other live acts on stage, b/w silent movies w. with a piano or organ played to accompanyment. soda shops, paperboys hawking news papers, dance halls, roller/ice rinks with organ music, ice cream parlors, soda jerks in the drug stores, cars /trucks w. flared fenders/ canvas top. high pressure narrow tires w. inner tubes, tire pumps, crank handles to start vehicles, running boards, trolley cars, steam locomotives...the lindy hop, two step, charleston, shag/jive, big bottom and waltz were popular dances, hollow megaphones were popular for crooners,shoeshine stands,cigars,fancy cigarette cases and holders were in fashion, so was making the circuit of night clubs for drinks/dinner/show, the roaring 20's had many spending freely and enjoying "the high life" with abandon, drug/alcohol addiction rates rose rapidly, inadequate regulations on patent medicines/devices and treatments brought it's own horror, for many. public health services were inadequate, banking regulation didn't work to keep banks solvent or safeguard depositors accounts, and keeping the criminal element from influencing, manipulating, or owning a bank. tradeing regulations for the stock exchange needed a complete overhaul, gambling and gameing regulations were innefective in protecting the public from criminal control or ownership, bribery, graft,loansharking, prostitution, protection rackets were rampant in the major cities,, as were political and official corruption, , many in the rural ares flooded into the cities in search of a better income and opportunity, leaving fewer jobs available.. the stage was set for a national calamity: the "great depression"
