The part that refers to clove cigarettes is "Prohibits a cigarette or any of its components from containing as a constituent or additive any artificial or natural flavor (other than tobacco or menthol) or any herb or spice (including strawberry, grape, orange, clove, cinnamon, and vanilla) that is a characterizing flavor of the tobacco product or tobacco smoke."

The cruise was great and the ship is one of Royal Caribbean's finest. It's like a slightly smaller version of the RC's Freedom of the Seas. It has lots of on-board activities like the rock climbing wall, an inline roller blade track, and ice skating rink, a mini-golf course, a full sized basketball/tennis court, a pool deck for everyone and then another pool for adults only. The ship did not have any theme nights except the two formal nights. The ship has a pedestrian mall down its center which is great for people watching and grabbing a bite to eat too. There will be a free ice show that you have to go get tickets for and be sure that you get to the showroom early to get a good seat, its open seating. Aruba is a nice island to go to the beach. There is not a lot to see there going sightseeing; I did that and you'll be done in a short time. The ship docks near the town and you can walk to shopping a casino that is in town, and a very small area that has vendor stands. You will need to take a taxi or the bus to the best beaches.
In Curacao we went on a tour that stopped at a cave, a museum and then went to a liquor factory where we had sample. You'll see that one listed in the RC's tours and its kinda nice, plus you get all the free liquor samples you want. Also, be sure to take time to see the floating pontoon bridge that divides the town. They open it about every hour to let boats through. There should be a nice new shopping mall and hotel near the pier. It was under construction when we were there.
St Maarten is another great beach and shopping stop. You can walk or take a ferry right into town and there is a small beach right there is you want to get into the water or lounge on the sand. Shopping is one block over from that.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker Surprisingly most everywhere you go you will find english speaking locals - especially working in locations where foreign travelers, tourists, etc. are expected and anticipated. My oldest son and I spent almost 5 years sailing around the world, we stopped in Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Scotland, Ireland, England, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Panama, and South Africa, along with numerous islands including Christmas & Easter. From French Polynesia to Indonesia and Hong Kong, we never had a problem communication in english with the locals - albeit - much of it was limited english, hard to understand, and a bit skimpy on details - it was enough to get what we needed. Even the little girls in dug out canoes in the Cook Islands that came out to sell or exchange fresh fruit or hand made straw hats and jewelery could speak well enough english that you could understand they were most eager in exchanging their goods for American beer or cigarettes, as they were cash.
Consider the language barrier as part of the adventure - not as an obstacle to sailing around the world.
For docking... If you stay at Marinas, in most cases you will pay. Many Marinas offer the first night free to transient boaters, some don't. As my son & I are big fans of eating out, we mostly would simply anchor out and take the dinghy to shore (which is free) and use the money saved to eat out at a local restaurant. Finances while sailing around the world are really a matter of your philosophy & pocketbook. It is your own personal comfort zone that will dictate your sailing budget... from the boat you choose, to the amenities aboard, to the places you go, the food you eat... it is amazing how close we all stay to our own comfort zones - if you need it, wear it, eat it, drink it, on land, you will need it, wear it, eat it, and drink it on board - to that end, the opposite it also true. If you don't eat it, drink it, or wear it on land - other then your PFD, there is no use in having it onboard - it simply takes up precious space.
Are there maps? Yes, and they are called "charts". You will need a lot of them. There are also great books that provide needed information about Ports, Cities, places to go, and places not to go. As you get closer to actually realizing this dream, you will have a good knowledge of what to expect before you get there - in regards to wind, weather, currents, Ports, docks, fees, customs, passports, visas, language, provisions, and services. It is not hard to get the information you need, nor is it difficult to learn... but it does require both dedication & preparation.

Tobacco has been used by many people for thousands of years. It's only recently that tobacco (the plant) has been viewed as "dangerous" or "harmful." There isn't one reason, but many, and they're mostly overexagerated misunderstandings turned truth. I'll list just a few to be helpful:
1: Most tobacco cigarettes contain substances that are poisonous to humans in relatively large amounts. For example: cigarette paper is made with certain potassium chemicals that, when burned, cause cell rupturing; most filters contain fiberglass, which is not a good thing to have stuck in your body, as it's difficult for your lymphatic systems to process; and flavor additives, while seemingly harmless, can end up wreaking a lot of havoc on the liver, kidneys, CNS, and reproductive organs.
2: Tobacco is both a strong stimulant and relaxant. Why would that matter, you ask? The primary relaxant action is on the bowels, which then empty faster, causing the train of digestive motion to "get a move on." This prepares the stomach and upper bowels for more food, and causes the smoker to feel hungrier earlier after their last meal. To intensify this effect, tobacco's stimulant actions cause calorie use similar to low to medium dosages of caffeine.

The answer is: you eat more -- or you eat heavier. Also, stimulants can cause strong cravings for unhealthy sweets and fatty foods, like cooked meats. Are these things good for your health? Not at all. And what a surprise that tobacco smoking is generally blamed for colon cancer and sexual infertility.
3: People who smoke recreationally don't consume tobacco in a responsible manner. Used to, the only people who smoked or used tobacco were tribal healers and headmen, but now anyone who wants to be rebellious or cool is also invited. Neither the mentality nor the practice behind recreational use of tobacco is healthy -- but that's not the main problem. The problem with recreational use is the fact that there's no boundary. Example: Japanese and Chinese people consumed green tea for thousands of years for health, but they used it responsibly, as their society demanded. But now you hear of the incredibly high amount of fluoride in tea, especially green and white teas. Why is that? Because someone sat down in their lazy-boy every day with two gallons of it, and didn't stop until they'd completely wrecked their skeletal system.
Chemical tests conducted on tobacco prove that there's absolutely nothing to be afraid of... if you're using it responsibly. Smoking isn't the healthiest way of using tobacco, but it is one of the more traditional ways. While some chemicals can change significantly when high amounts of heat are applied, true, natural tobacco smoke contains such small amounts of dangerous substances that there can be only one way for the fingers to point: the user.

Edit: Seems to be a lot of bad information in this answer. Please allow me to clear some of the confusion up:
1: Nicotine doesn't activate a "reward center" anywhere in your body. Faulty chemistry leads to faulty chemistry leads to faulty chemistry. Nicotine slips into cell receptor sites, but "reward chemicals" are not released because of this.
2: Smoke never enters the brain. Nicotine, however, does, and do you know why? Out of the very tiny group of chemicals allowed to pass through the "blood-brain barrier," nicotine is one of them. Science has proven that nicotine is craved and invited by the brain, and is, in fact, a beneficial chemical. Nicotine (like many other chemicals in tobacco) sharpens the mind and helps to clear up memory problems. It's no coincidence that Albert Einstein and hundreds of other "geniuses" smoked until death -- and most of them didn't die because of irresponsible tobacco usage.
3: I'm still baffled when I hear that so many people claim to be addicted to tobacco. Whenever I'm not writing, I routinely take 2-3 week breaks from smoking and tobacco usage just to give my systems a break. At the same time, I also stop drinking mate, tea, coffee, and alcohol, and not for religious reasons, but health reasons. Many people out there are so broken down by their News Channel 32 report on "Evil Tobacco" that even before they try to quit they believe it's impossible. Weakness is the problem -- not a beneficial chemical or the good feelings it brings. Blame yourselves... not some plant.
Edit 2: Also, cigarette smoke does not "cause damage" to your circulatory and cardiovascular systems. A normal -- strike that -- healthy person will have absolutely no problem with neutralizing and eliminated unnecessary chemicals and taking in the good ones. If you can eat meat, you can smoke a cigarette -- they both contribute the same amount of load on alimentary organs and blood organs. Another fine fact that many people don't consider is that smoking is pleasurable because of the extremely high amount of B-vitamins present in the smoke and juice.
Also, my cilia work just fine. Three minutes after smoking -- on the dot -- is when I clear my throat of the unnecessary and/or unused tar portion of what I smoked. I suppose my cilia have evolved not to be paralyzed? Or maybe this "cilia paralysis" theory-crap is just that: theory-crap.

Within 20 minutes of your last cigarette, your blood pressure and pulse return to normal. Within eight hours, the carbon monoxide and oxygen levels in your blood return to normal. After 48 hours, your senses of smell and taste return to that of a non-smoker. Your lung capacity improves within 72 hours as you bronchial tubes begin to relax.
And if you are quitting the addiction: your circulation and lung function improve within two weeks to three months after you quit. As the cilia in your bronchial tubes regrow you will be able to clear your lungs easier and reduce the number of infections in your lungs. This process begins within one to nine months. At five years, your lung cancer death rate decreases from 137 per 100,000 people to 72 per 100,000 and drops to 12 per 100,000 after 10 years. This rate is similar to that of nonsmokers.
So, with just 5 cigarettes a month, you can still develop lung cancer, but, for the most part you will have the overall health of a non-smoker.

People who have experience with amsterdam? I have been thinking about taking a trip to amsterdam, the trip would probably last a week.

Sure.
Money: ATM card if you can, but otherwise consider around US$ 150 / EUR 125 a day.
This includes basic lodging (basic = cheap) and standard food/drink, a tourist attraction, some public transport and a small amount 'just in case' (contingency fund) It does not include travel from somewhere TO amsterdam though.
Do not carry that much on your person, as in every city, you should expect the odd pickpocket.
Girls: yes, they are there, it`s open, legal, if you are inclined to that kind of thing. Tip: do not (try to) take pictures. They do not like that at all (as i found out - and wasn`t even taking pics of them)
Pot smoking: in public, it is considered annoying, and is very much frowned upon (contrary to what users think, non-users think it stinks). Smoke in the coffeeshops, or in a quiet (= non crowded) spot in a park. Make sure you are over 18, and can prove it with real ID.
Best coffee shops: Don`t know - but from people who do, i`m told the 'Rokerij' is a good and reliable one. Best option is to walk around, and look inside. You should get a decent impression.
As to smoking - it`s a bigger problem smoking cigarettes in general that what might be in the cigarettes! Public smoking ban is in effect - and only on designated areas you`re free to smoke. Take care to know you`re allowed to do so before you light up.
Things to do: Heineken expirience, Museums (there are lots) a canal boat trip, visit Leidseplein or Rembrantsplein in the evening (main entertainment area`s), use a tram (public transport), walk through the center, see the shops, Dam square, and generally just enjoy yourself.
And, take your time. Don`t rush.
