Us Cigarettes Online

Since clove cigarettes are now illegal to sell in the US, will customs confiscate them?
I ordered a carton of clove cigarettes online about a week ago, and when tracking the package just now, I noticed that the last action it had was titled "held by customs". This was from two days ago. Does this mean that I will not be able to get my cigarettes?

Not necessarily. You must remember, there is a massive amount of mail coming into and going out of customs due to the holidays. It is not illegal to order clove cigarettes for personal consumption. I would advise purchasing small amounts at a time to help you get them through, because some customs workers think they are gods and some will say your three cartons are too much for "personal use". I'd stick to sample (loose) packs, and keep it under 10 packs per order to help them get through faster. However, I have known people who have ordered like 6 cartons of cloves and they passed customs just fine. It's really a roll of the dice with these butt wipes at customs. But settle down, it is the holiday season and everything is backed up. Held in customs just means they have yet to process your parcel and send it on to USPS to be shipped to you. 98% chance they'll be in your mailbox by the 6th of January.
