Mini Cigarette Boat

Going on a cruise this january with royal caribean aboard adventures of the sea on a southern locations. ?
Anyone been on this boat or with this cruise line? We are going to Aruba then Curacao st martin and then to st thomas. Wondering if anyone as done this same cruise with this line. We went last year on a western with carnival. Wondering if anyone can tell me things to do on these islands and what the ship was like. If anyone has been on this cruise if you can tell me things like what type of activities on this ship cost of buckets of beers or drinks. If they had a theme night and in there adult pool area was there smoking allowed.

Yes, we did that exact same cruise on that ship in May of last year. The cruise was great and the ship is one of Royal Caribbean's finest. It's like a slightly smaller version of the RC's Freedom of the Seas. It has lots of on-board activities like the rock climbing wall, an inline roller blade track, and ice skating rink, a mini-golf course, a full sized basketball/tennis court, a pool deck for everyone and then another pool for adults only. The ship did not have any theme nights except the two formal nights. The ship has a pedestrian mall down its center which is great for people watching and grabbing a bite to eat too. There will be a free ice show that you have to go get tickets for and be sure that you get to the showroom early to get a good seat, its open seating. You can take a virtual tour of the ship at this link: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis…

You can smoke on the ship, here's the policy:

"Effective January 2008, smoking is only permitted in designated areas and outdoors on the Starboard side of the ship (contact the Guest Services for details). Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, theater, hallway or corridor. Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom or on Oasis class Boardwalk or Central Park private balconies, however, it is permitted on private ocean view balconies of balcony/suite staterooms. A $250 penalty will be applied to the SeaPass for guests found smoking in staterooms or on the private balconies in Boardwalk and Central Park onboard Oasis class ships. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. A guest must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard."

I don't know what a bucket of beer cost but one beer will be about $5.50, plus tip.

Aruba is a nice island to go to the beach. There is not a lot to see there going sightseeing; I did that and you'll be done in a short time. The ship docks near the town and you can walk to shopping a casino that is in town, and a very small area that has vendor stands. You will need to take a taxi or the bus to the best beaches.

In Curacao we went on a tour that stopped at a cave, a museum and then went to a liquor factory where we had sample. You'll see that one listed in the RC's tours and its kinda nice, plus you get all the free liquor samples you want. Also, be sure to take time to see the floating pontoon bridge that divides the town. They open it about every hour to let boats through. There should be a nice new shopping mall and hotel near the pier. It was under construction when we were there.

St Maarten is another great beach and shopping stop. You can walk or take a ferry right into town and there is a small beach right there is you want to get into the water or lounge on the sand. Shopping is one block over from that.
