Cigarette Ads Targeting Children
America obsessed with drinking? Banning Alcohol Commercials?
Do you think that Alcohol commercials should be banned on the same principle that cigarette commercial were banned for? That adult if they want to smoke know where to go to get them and do not need further assistance. That children are more suceptable (can't spell) to start because of TV ad's? Are American's obsessed with drinking, does the media make us feel as if to drink is the norm and not to means that something is wrong with you?

How constitutional would it be to ban alcohol commercials? It's borderline un-American. I really doubt alcohol commercials are going to encourage children to drink, since they can't even legally sell them alcohol. No profit, the target isn't worth it.
I think its the contrary, Americans make far too big a deal of alcohol. No other developed country in the world has this problem. I think we need to teach children self control, not ban everything harmful. Smoking, alcohol, fast food, what do you want to try to ban next?
