Cigarettes Smoke

How do I get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke in an upholstered chair?
My neighbors are moving and they gave us two really pretty upholstered chairs. We brought them in but the reek of cigarette smoke and are stinking up the room. I cannot just take off the pillows as the wood is covered in cloth. They are so pretty and I like the material. Any suggestions?
