My state is proposing to tax cigarettes 60 cents a pack?
Hi I live in TN and I read in the paper today our govenor is proposing to tax cigarettes 60 cents a pack .
We already pay almost 10 % sales tax
Why does everyone tax the smoker why not tax the rich for having expensive cars?

Are you sure they didn't say he proposed increasing the tax by 60 cents a pack? I thought they were already taxed more than that. Personally I think any 'targeted tax' is wrong.
