Chicago???
Hi, we're visting Chicago next weekend and we just wanted to know some things we can do downtown. We know there's the sears tower,espn zone, dave n buster, michigan ave, navy pier. But what else is there to do. Also where is California Ave in Chicago? Is it in a good area?

Well there is plenty to do in Chicago especially now that the weather is better you could check out Millineum Park and Grant park they are close to each other you can also fo to the Feild Museum, the planetarium, and Shed Aquarium those are all close to each other you can take a taxi boat from Navy Pier to the Aquarium or vice versa. If you are into gambling you can visit the Hawthorn race track on Cicero for horse racing and if the casino is more your style its only a 15 minute drive to the Horse Shoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana.

There is also the theater in Chicago You can go see The Blue Man Group or Wicked or any show that may be playing. I belive Andrew Dice Clay is playing this weekend and so is Mary J. Blige you can get more information here http://chicago.metromix.com/ Don't forget the great food either I highly recommend the Cheesecake Factory expect to spend about $25 a person but there food is 5 star any you get pretty good size portions. One last thing if you are here on a Sunday go to Canal Street near downtown there is a huge outdoor Flea Market best place to get your souvenirs on the cheap things like souvenir T-shirts for $5. and while you are there you might as well head to China Town as well not to far from the market and do some sight seeing and shopping there too. If you happen to smoke or anyone that is coming with you, know that cigaretts are banned from all public places in Illinoise and that in Chicago You can Pay from $7 to $10 A pack so if they are cheaper where you are bring plenty. Last peice of advice while in downtown public transportation and taxi's are you best deal outside of downtown a car is good but not neccessary. Hope this helps.
